Always fun in the Country.....

Grandma Carolyn came over the weekend to visit. My mom always amazes me. The lady can go a hundred miles a hour, always positive and full of life and sunshine. She will be 65 this Sunday. While she was here we were able to visit the birth home of President David O McKay. For those of you who don't know he was born and raised in good ole Huntsville. She cheered loud for Michael and Trav during their games... I kinda forgot about that competitive spirit of hers:)

Saturday we hooked up with Troy, Anne and a bunch of Anne's family. Troy had a football game about 45 minutes away...always a treat to watch him. We had a great visit with Troy and Anne and all the cousins. Our van broke down on our way home from the game. Anne and Troy came and picked us up...long story short...it was so fun to spend the extra time with them...had some good food, laughs and visits.

Sunday we went for a hike up the hills behind our home. Did I mention my mom will be 65 Sunday and I think she was the first one to the top. Such a fun valley to live in...so beautiful and peacful. Aiden loves to feed the neighbors horses. Great place for a bunch of BOYS!!!

Nana and Papa visit from Iowa!!!

We were so sad to see Trav's parents leave.
We had such a good time. They made such good
timing. They were able to catch Trav's basketball
game Friday night. Papa brought tickets for
General Priesthood session Saturday night so
Jr. and Trav were able to go with him. Sunday
Dennis brought tickets for the Sunday
afternoon session so Tanner, Michael and I were
able to attend that day with Nana, Gram and Papa.
Monday afternoon Trav, Papa and Aiden went golfing
while Kae and I went for a tour of the valley and
downtown.Monday night we had Family Home Evening
and headed to Michael's game. Tuesday the guys
went for a hike and exploring. We love you
Nana and Papa!! Thanks for the fun times and memories.
Hope to see you soon!!

BUSY TIMES!!!

Busy...but FUN!!

Two weeks ago my husbands best friend Loren came to visit. Trav was thirlled he was able to get some golf in...a few days later my sister Kelli and her family came to stay for the weekend. We celebrated Zach's 12th Birthday. Brandon took the boys fishing and Uncle Trav organized some games of basketball. A few days later we were able to hook up with Damon in Salt Lake for a Lacross Tournament. Travis, Michael and Tanner finished up one basketball season and Travis and Michael started up another league....so we are going every night it seems like. Loving watching these boys grow up and give it their all....Good Stuff!! We are excited to see Nana and Papa Dougherty this coming week...Yahoooooooooooooo.

OUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parents need to "play offense" - to capitalize on the impressionable years of childhood by instilling in their sons the antecedents of character. Their assignment during two brief decades will be to trasform their boys from immature and flighty youngsters into honest, caring men who will be respectful of women, loyal and faithful in marriage, keepers of commitments, strong and decisive leaders, good workers, and secure. And of course, the ultimate goal for people of faithis to give each child understanding of scripture and a lifelong passion of Jesus Christ. This is, I believe. the most important responsibility for those of us who have been entrusted with the careand Nurturance of children.

Christmas In Elma!!

We left for WA the 13th of December - I barely made it to Seattle to hand the kids over to my Dad and catch a flight to Atlanta where I would join Trav for his company Christmas Party the next day. Trav and I had a fun get away and were able to do a little Christmas shopping. We stayed Thursday, Friday and Saturday and flew back to Seattle Sunday morning where we stayed until January 3rd - We were able to catch a Elma Boys Basketball game. The boys thought it was really cool looking at all the family(uncles & aunts) names on the walls before you entered the Gym doors. Michael and I went and Chatted with Coach Nadau one afternoon. It was so fun spending time with family and friends
