Happy Valentine's Day!!

Every Valentines Day the 5th and 6th grade Students put on a dance for their parents - I love this tradition!! Tanner(5th) grade and Cousin Caleb(6th) grade had a blast learning new dances.

That evening Travis Sr. treated me to Thai food and a movie. Love those dates with my hubby!!

Happy 11th Birthday Tanner....

Scanned some old pictures of me and my BOY. I love your smile, wit, personality and who your are and have become. Love your conversations, when you bare your testimony....you are a great communicator. Love how you enjoy the simple things in life....you are a thinker and creator. Love our visits in the van...on our drives to games and competitions... love to listen to the conversations you have with your brothers, family and friends. Thanks for being you and all that you are to me and our family!!!

Happy 11th Birthday Tanner

Some of the things Tanner did on his 11th Birthday:

1)Went to the Outback Steakhouse

2) Saw this new movie....

Tanner Stevenson Dougherty....

We had a blast celebrating Tanner's 11th Birthday - Love this Kid!!

Tanner always has something funny to say, but is also very compassionate. Living close to his cousins he spends every moment he can with Caleb(11) and also Samson(10) who lives 45 minutes away. They are all three very close buds:)

This year I have had the opportunity to be Tanner's classroom mom. Fun to get to go into the 5th grade and see what he is up to.

Tanner doesn't require alot - easy going kid. Always knows where his "THINGS" are and is very concerned about his stuff.

He loves to garden - enjoys the outdoors.... already has the seeds ready for us to plant. Loves, loves, animals and has a very tender heart. Loves to camp and fish...enjoys shooting the breeze around the campfire.....nobody makes us laugh or entertains us more then Tanner.

Tanner just finished up his basketball season and enjoyed that. He loves to cook, play video games and is always up for a funny movie....reminds me so much of his father.

He is the greatest kid and I am so glad he is MINE:)

Parents need to "play offense" - to capitalize on the impressionable years of childhood by instilling in their sons the antecedents of character. Their assignment during two brief decades will be to trasform their boys from immature and flighty youngsters into honest, caring men who will be respectful of women, loyal and faithful in marriage, keepers of commitments, strong and decisive leaders, good workers, and secure. And of course, the ultimate goal for people of faithis to give each child understanding of scripture and a lifelong passion of Jesus Christ. This is, I believe. the most important responsibility for those of us who have been entrusted with the careand Nurturance of children.

Christmas In Elma!!

We left for WA the 13th of December - I barely made it to Seattle to hand the kids over to my Dad and catch a flight to Atlanta where I would join Trav for his company Christmas Party the next day. Trav and I had a fun get away and were able to do a little Christmas shopping. We stayed Thursday, Friday and Saturday and flew back to Seattle Sunday morning where we stayed until January 3rd - We were able to catch a Elma Boys Basketball game. The boys thought it was really cool looking at all the family(uncles & aunts) names on the walls before you entered the Gym doors. Michael and I went and Chatted with Coach Nadau one afternoon. It was so fun spending time with family and friends
